"This transfer field focuses on dialogue-driven forms of academic communication that open up direct dialogue between academics and those outside the academic community. Fostering exchange about research findings and the research process, it addresses questions that emerge from academic research and are then brought to society as well as those that society itself poses to scholars and scientists. In the process, participants reflect on their goals, target groups, and appropriate format selection. Formats are actively developed. Defining features: dialogue-centric translation, engaged discourse and debate, and a synergistic momentum in both directions."
