"This transfer field includes the provision, sale and use of large-scale equipment, laboratories/workshops, special libraries, archives, collections, software as a service*, computing services, storage capacities, databases and data, for users outside academia or commercial users. It is crucial that the infrastructure has a specific unique selling point and is not commercially available. The aim is to make infrastructure accessible to users who would otherwise not have access and thus contribute to value creation. The non-scientific use of properties is excluded."
Research and transfer centers
The high-profile research centers reflect the main areas of focus at the Europa-Universität Flensburg.
- The Center for Education, Teaching, School, and Socialization Research (ZeBUSS) investigates school and extracurricular education and socialization processes using interdisciplinary, quantitative, and qualitative approaches.
- The Interdisciplinary Center for European Studies (ICES) brings together European research and analyzes the social, political, and cultural transformation processes of European integration from a social sciences and humanities perspective.
- The Center for Research on Sustainability and Transformation (CREST) conducts practical research on transformation and sustainability, combining approaches from the natural sciences, technology, social sciences, and humanities.
All centers promote research activities, young academics, and national and international networking at the EUF

The physical geography laboratory is primarily used for analyzing soil, sediment, and water samples, thus serving the teaching and research focus areas of geomorphology, soil geography, geoecology, and climate geography.
Historical Rock Collection
The EUF has an extensive historical rock collection from the historical holdings of the former PH Flensburg and from more recent sources, consisting of several hundred, mostly labeled hand specimens from all continents, including Antarctica.
ZfL Media Library
At the ZfL media library, students, trainee teachers, teachers, and other interested parties can borrow media related to education, school, teaching, and lesson planning free of charge.
Provision of geodata and map collection
The Physical Geography Working Group officially acts as the central point of contact for obtaining geodata at the EUF. For the purposes of research and teaching, including seminars and theses, all available electronic, GIS-compatible geodata from the State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation is made available to all members of the university.
