Workshop „Interdisciplinary Transfer and Synergies“ 2026

The workshop week is dedicated to the targeted promotion of early-career researchers and to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration. Its main focus is on advancing current research projects, preparing joint publications, and systematically exploring opportunities for knowledge transfer and synergies between individual subprojects.
The program combines intensive opportunities for discussion with innovative workshop formats, particularly a colloquium based on a co-commentary format, which focuses on peer feedback and collective reflection on ongoing projects. Particular emphasis is placed on fostering interdisciplinary connections through tandem formats, in which participants engage with each other’s projects and identify points of connection and opportunities for collaboration.
Academic contributions will include a presentation by Nataliia Tomenko, who will introduce the ARCA Oral History Project, as well as a presentation by the Research Unit’s Mercator Fellow, Prof. Dr. Klaus-Michael Bogdal, who will publicly present, among other things, his latest book on the actress and painter Tela Tchai. The program will be complemented by a research exchange with external guests, methodological and practice-oriented sessions, including a session on career development in academia, as well as opportunities for exchange on digital research environments and collaborative working structures.
