Curriculum Vitae
Jana Rosebrock is a Doctoral Candidate at Europa-Universität Flensburg, working at the intersection of Black American cultural studies and media studies. Her research examines the representation of memory in Black visual media, particularly through the lenses of Black visuality, transcultural memory processes, and the distinctive aesthetic and narrative structures of contemporary streaming productions. She critically engages with series such as Lovecraft Country (2020)and The Underground Railroad (2021), exploring how these works negotiate transcultural memory through specific visual and narrative structures.
