Discover the EMERGE HUB – Join Us for the Opening Days in March!
We are excited to introduce the EMERGE HUB – a new vibrant space at Europa-Universität Flensburg dedicated to exchange, creativity, well-being, and community.
The EMERGE HUB is designed as a welcoming meeting point for students from all backgrounds. It is a place to connect, learn, relax, share ideas, and develop skills related to inclusion, sustainability, and resilience – the core values of the EMERGE project.
Whether you are looking for inspiration, support, new friendships, or simply a place to feel at home on campus, the EMERGE HUB is here for you.
3-Day Opening Event in March
To celebrate the launch of the EMERGE HUB, we warmly invite all students and staff to take part in our 3-day opening event in March.
Throughout the three days, you can expect:
- Interactive activities and workshops
- Opportunities to meet the EMERGE team and Campus Angels
- Creative and social sessions
- Information about upcoming programs and events
- A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

Interactive Activity – “Leaf Your Mark”: March 18
12:00–14:00 – EMERGE Tree of Voices
On the second day of the EMERGE HUB Opening, all visitors are invited to actively contribute to the EMERGE Tree of Voices.
Participants can write short multilingual messages on paper or fabric leaves — each consisting of one sentence related to hope, welcome, or engagement.
Possible themes include:
- “What gives me strength in challenging times?”
- Reflections on inclusion, resilience, and sustainability
- Words of encouragement and solidarity
12:30–13:30 – Student Association Network Meeting
Student organizations and associations are invited to meet and discuss how existing student groups can collaborate, strengthen their networks, and increase their visibility on campus.
Anyone interested in becoming involved in a student organization or in the Student Association Network is very welcome to join.
13:45 – EMERGE Tree Planting
In addition, on the second day of the EMERGE HUB Opening, we will plant the EMERGE Tree at 13:45 in the student garden behind the Oslo Building.
The tree symbolizes what EMERGE stands for and represents its core values. We will watch the EMERGE Tree grow — together with the EMERGE Alliance — as a living symbol of our shared commitment to resilience, sustainability, and inclusion.
"Meet • Talk • Connect" - Intercultural Speed Meeting: March 19 | 14:00-16:00
Activity as part of the EMERGE HUB Opening and the City of Flensburg’s Anti-Racism Action
Location: Europa-Universität Flensburg, Building: Helsinki – EMERGE HUB (Helsinki Foyer)
Target Group: All interested persons
As part of the opening of the EMERGE HUB (Open Meeting Point), the EMERGE project, in cooperation with the City of Flensburg, invites you to an intercultural speed meeting on campus.
Under the motto “Meet – Talk – Connect”, participants engage in short, guided conversation rounds inspired by thought-provoking questions. This format creates an open and welcoming space for meaningful exchange across cultures and backgrounds.
The event offers a great opportunity to:
- Meet new people
- Exchange perspectives and experiences
- Strengthen intercultural understanding
- Promote diversity and inclusion
- Support anti-racism initiatives
Conversations can be held in English or other languages.

Join the EMERGE Opening Lottery
Visitors attending the EMERGE HUB Opening can scan the QR code available at the event and register online.
All registered participants will automatically take part in a lottery to win a European Interrail Pass.
The prize includes a 10-day European rail pass, which can be used within a one-month travel period across Europe.
Simply scan the QR code during the event, complete the short registration form, and you will be entered into the draw.
