Most people connect the word education with school lessons. But if you want to think outside the box and explore non-formal education in practice and theory – in Europe – the interdisciplinary M.A. Educational Science: Education in Europe at Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) is perfect for you.

This degree program is unique in Germany. It builds on your previous studies in education and deals with questions such as:

  • What cultural and institutional differences (and similarities) exist in teaching and learning?
  • How do development, socialization, and education change over a lifetime?
  • How do young children and teenagers learn, and how do adults learn?
  • Which transformation processes have shaped today’s educational landscape in Europe?

You’ll learn, carry out research, and apply your knowledge in an internship – which you can do abroad if you wish. During your studies, you’ll choose to focus on topics that fascinate you the most. These could be psychology, philosophy or sociology topics.

The degree program offers a personal atmosphere and excellent student support, as well as exciting job opportunities in education, research or administration. We’d be happy to advise you if you’d like to pursue a doctorate after completing your master's degree.
