Graduate Development Process at SEDev

The Sustainable Energy and Development (SEDev) Master’s programme guides students through a structured development pathway across four semesters:

  • Preparation Semester: Students build a solid foundation in basic economics—covering macro, micro, business, and development economics—and acquire essential research methods and tools to support advanced learning.
  • 1st Semester – Knowledge Development: Students engage in an intensive learning phase focusing on sustainable energy technologies, energy systems, planning, modelling, and analysis.
  • 2nd Semester – Skill Development: This semester emphasises real-world application through modules on market and project development, soft skill training, and hands-on collaboration with communities in live project settings.
  • 3rd Semester – Expertise Development: Students apply their accumulated knowledge and skills by conducting independent research through a Master’s thesis on a topic of their own interest, further deepening their expertise.
