EMERGE Fellowships

Would you like to carry out research, conduct interviews or work on your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis in another country – and receive guaranteed Erasmus+ funding to do so?

You can find current offerings here.

EMERGE fellowships are a new opportunity to spend time at a partner institution of the European University Alliance EMERGE while preparing for your bachelor's or master's thesis or during the writing process. Whether you plan to work in business, associations, NGOs, or schools after graduation, there are a wide variety of opportunities available for different degree programs.

How it works:

  1. You apply for a place directly with the contact person listed below.
    1. Option A: You have already agreed on a topic for your thesis with the supervising professor at your home university. You check with the fellowship contact person to see if they agree that you will work on this topic while abroad.
    2. Option B: You discuss potential topics with the fellowship contact person. You then select your topic in consultation with the supervising professor at your home university.
  2. You clarify the fellowship period and arrange an online meeting with the fellowship institution shortly before your stay (to clarify practical questions and discuss your tasks).
  3. Have you received confirmation from the fellowship institution? Then you are guaranteed Erasmus+ funding. To enable the International Center at your home university to prepare your funding documents in time, you must submit the application form at least 2 months before your stay.
  4. You will receive the funding documents from the International Center. You can clarify everything else with the fellowship institution.
