EMERGE fellowships are a new opportunity to gain practical experience at a partner institution of the EMERGE University Alliance. Whether you want to work in a company, association, NGO, or school, there are a wide range of opportunities available for different degree programs.
How it works:
- You apply for a place directly with the contact person listed below.
- Option A: You have already agreed on a topic for your thesis with your EUF supervising professor. You check with the fellowship contact person to see if they agree that you will work on this topic while abroad.
- Option B: You discuss potential topics with the fellowship contact person. You then select your topic in consultation with your EUF supervising professor.
- You clarify the fellowship period and arrange an online meeting with the fellowship institution shortly before your stay (to clarify practical questions and discuss your tasks).
- Have you received confirmation from the fellowship institution? Then you are guaranteed Erasmus+ funding. To enable the International Center to prepare your funding documents in time, you must submit the application form at least 2 months before your stay.
- You will receive the funding documents from the International Center. You can clarify everything else with the fellowship institution.

The Jackstädt-Zentrum Flensburg (JZF) combines research, teaching and transfer activities of the economics departments of the two Flensburg universities with a focus on entrepreneurship and medium-sized businesses. Through a variety of events and cooperation projects, we ensure visibility and interaction between students and regional companies while meeting the needs of both interest groups:
Students are looking for practical insights in teaching and research during their studies, student jobs, internships, topics for theses and career entry opportunities after graduation.
Companies are looking for well-trained junior staff and aim for a higher profile on campus; they are also interested in new methods and findings that they can take up in their company practice.
