This international workshop aims to investigate how state and nonstate actors (re)drew, (de)stabilized, politicized and legitimized (national, imperial, EU) borders, both within and beyond “Europe” at critical moments in the long 20th century.
The workshop, organized by Christiane Reinecke, Thea Kruse, and Frederik Doktor (all from Europa-Universität Flensburg), is funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) – SFB 1604 “Production of Migration” – 501120656.
