Prof. Dr. Joachim Fischer(University of Limerick) gives a M.A. European Studies Guest Lecture "European Studies in Ireland: Reflections on its past, present and future".

The lecture will give an overview over the development and current state of European Studies in Ireland in all levels of education. It will examine more closely the situation at third level education and make suggestions for the further development of the field, focusing on cultural, literary and language aspects.

Prof. Dr. Joachim Fischer holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Cultural Studies and is Senior Lecturer in German at the University of Limerick in Ireland.
