Tea Hodaj, Wasatia European Graduate School of Peace and Conflict Resolution, EUF gives a lecture about Dostoevsky’s Universal Political Insights: Socialism, Social Nihilism and Religion.

Tea Hodaj is a PhD candidate specialising in the Literary Texts and Nationalism of the Western Balkan countries. Puzzled by the role of literary texts, especially fiction, in the dissemination of political narratives, Hodaj is looking into Dostoevsky’s three novels (The Adolescent; Crime and Punishment; Devils) to find exactly that. As it is no news that Dostoevsky himself had a political agenda behind his writings, we will humbly attempt to dwell on the universality of his political thought and its relevance in today’s world: the rise of the right and left political extremities, the generational disputes and the role of religion.

Das Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaftliche Kolloquium ist eine semesterbegleitende Vortrags- und Diskussionsreihe. In diesem Semester steht die Reihe unter dem folgenden thematischen Schwerpunkt "Kriminalität und Kriminalistik - Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaftliche Perspektivierungen". Die Vorträge finden im Online- oder Hybridformat statt.
