In the context of the Winter Lecture organized by the B.A. European Cultures and Society & the M.A. European Studies, we would like to invite you to the Lecture:
Bourgeois Coldness and Fascist Heat – Political Affect in Contemporary Crises by Dr. Henrike Kohpeiß
Dr. Henrike Kohpeiß is a research fellow at the FU Berlin and a veritable emerging star in critical theory and the author of the book Bürgerliche Kälte - Affekt und koloniale Subjektivität. Philosophie und Kritik. Frankfurt / New York: Campus Verlag, 2023. This year, the book was published in English under the title Bourgeois Coldness. Divided Publishing, 2025.
The lecture is organized in the context of the Project INES - INclusivity in European Studies, a project in the context of a European Partnership transforming how we teach, learn, and live European Studies, making it accessible, diverse, and future-ready.
After the lecture, you are cordially invited to stay for an informal gathering with hot drinks and biscuits to put a term to the Winter semester with a warm note.
