We're excited to be welcoming Dr Lucy Brookes as the EUF Centre for Irish Studies' first Visiting Research Fellow!

Lucy comes to us from the University of Oxford, where she is the Fitzjames Fellow in Medieval Literature and Language at Merton College. She is the author of Convention and the Individual in Medieval English Romance (Brewer 2025). Her other research interests include the nature of truth and fiction in the Middle Ages, Arthurian literature, and Victorian medievalism.
