M.Ed. Thesis on Irish Women wins thesis prize
On 26 September 2025, Lenke Tabea Petersen was awarded the DEBEKA Group prize for outstanding Master's thesis in teacher training for her M.Ed. Thesis, "Poor Bridget found it necessary to emigrate – The Portrayal of Irish Women in the Fiction of Kate Kerrigan and Alice McDermott."
The EUF Centre for Irish Studies is pleased to announce the first CfIS Visiting Research Fellow: Dr Lucy Brookes!
We're excited to be welcoming Dr Lucy Brookes as the EUF Centre for Irish Studies' first Visiting Research Fellow! Lucy comes to us from the University of Oxford, where she is the Fitzjames Fellow in Medieval Literature and Language at Merton College. She is the author of Convention and the Individual in Medieval English Romance (Brewer 2025).
