Why study M.A. European Studies (EUS) at Europa-Universität Flensburg?
Two-year postgraduate study programme, 120 ECTS, fully taught in English.
Key focus
The M.A. European Studies is a full-time two-year programme, which is exclusively taught in English. It is interdisciplinary and research-oriented. The programme prepares future analysts and shapers of European affairs for professional and academic careers. With a particular focus on the European Union (EU) it provides invaluable insights and experiences into contemporary European political, legal, economic and social life.
Get to know Europe
Students debate current topics in EU law and politics while developing understanding of Europe’s economic and social development, as well as the history of European integration. Courses are taught by leading experts in their fields. Co-teaching by faculty from different disciplines, small study groups and joint supervision arrangements help students to find a special learning environment and an individual approach.
Course offerings relate to practice-oriented research questions and help students to develop skills relevant to future employability. The programme prepares them to take up jobs in EU institutions, domestic institutions dealing with EU affairs, think tanks and non-governmental organizations, as well as in companies with international operations. Guest speakers from the EU institutions, dedicated career days, visits by programme alumni, internships, and the annual Brussels study trip provide opportunities to connect with future employers.
International study environment
Students from inside and outside the EU find a unique international environment and can combine high-level academic training with a memorable intercultural experience. So far, students from more than 70 different countries have graduated from the programme.
