GraZ I Your Academic Writing Process with and without genAI
In this workshop, we will explore how you can develop your Academic Writing and your individual writing process to create professional, successful texts and to increase your productivity as well as efficiency. The workshop offers a broad range of input from the theoretical background of Academic Writing models and writing identities to writing strategies that you will explore for your own writing process. We discuss the role of genAI for Academic Writing both in terms of individual writing strategies and of the (legal) requirements of good academic practice. We will work with a few selected genAI tools for this. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to identify the points in the writing process that require writerly decisions and will be familiar with the options for these decisions. You will also have a good understanding of the status quo of your own Academic Writing process and whether – and if so for which phases – you wish to include or not include genAI tools.
