Want to play in an orchestra? The Young Ensemble Flensburg is looking for you!

The Young Ensemble Flensburg is a newly founded chamber orchestra organised by the Department of Music at Europa-Universität Flensburg, conducted by Shaul Bustan.

Get involved

We are looking for university students and upper secondary school students with orchestral experience—all instruments are welcome!

• Name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Instrument
• Previous orchestral experience

Please also send us a short video of yourself playing a piece of your choice, preferably as a link.

Key dates for the 2026 project

Two rehearsal weekends

23–25 October and 13–15 November
Each weekend runs from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime in the Helsinki building at Europa-Universität Flensburg.

Two concerts

Sheet music will be provided well before the project begins. To make the most of our limited rehearsal time, please arrive well prepared so that we can begin working on the music straight away. String players will receive parts with bowings marked.

Bonus for university students

Students in the Department of Music can earn ECTS credits towards their master’s degree by participating in the project.
