EMERGE – Cultural Events

As part of the EMERGE Online Cultural Programme 2026, several cultural events have been organised to highlight the linguistic and cultural diversity of the Alliance and to foster exchange between universities and local stakeholders.

The cultural events organised by partner universities and associated partners – such as webinars, streamed events, or workshops – are brought together in the Virtual Cultural Programme and are accessible to all members of the Alliance.

The programme also contains important guidance and recommendations for planning such events.

We welcome your participation

If you would like your event to be included in the programme, we would be very pleased to receive your enquiry addressed to Eleonora Zheleznikova.

Events 2026

"Savages": Photography Exhibition by Caroline Cieslik and subsequent panel discussion

The centrepiece was the exhibition "Les Sauvages" by Caroline Cieslik. This photography exhibition presents the work of Caroline Cieslik, documenting the transformation of the Prairies Saint-Martin in Rennes from an urban brownfield site into a nature park.

Accompanying the exhibition, a recorded and streamed roundtable discussion entitled "Écrire dans les marges" ("Writing from the Margins") took place on 9 April, exploring artistic perspectives on the theme of "marginality". The panel discussion was led by the artist collective Interfriches. A documentary film about the exhibition was also produced.

University Literature Night – Multilingual Performance

An evening dedicated to literature, aiming to bring contemporary works to the public in a fresh and engaging way. The programme features three readings from different books addressing themes such as freedom, diversity, inclusion, and resilience, presented at EMERGE HUBs by invited readers from the local and regional community.

The University Literature Night was held as a hybrid event. Participants were able to attend both in person and online. The event was recorded and made accessible via local EMERGE HUBs.
