Development and implementation of a questionnaire for self-assessment of knowledge about methods of prevention and intervention for behavioral problems, their effectiveness and their use in everyday pedagogical practice
In a cross-site project team, a questionnaire was developed on the basis of a systematic literature review and interviews with experts, enabling teachers to independently assess which (potentially effective) methods of dealing with behavioral problems they know, how effective they consider them to be and how often they use them.
In a pilot study, the questionnaire was used with students at the end of their studies in special education with a focus on emotional and social development (12/01/2021). It was also used with teachers in the district of Leipzig as part of the L-Of-esE research project (12/01/2021 - 04/30/2022). Initial studies with students took place in Leipzig and Cologne as part of the practical phases.
A cross-sectional and longitudinal study is currently being carried out in cooperation with the Lucerne University of Teacher Education (Switzerland) in various special and curative education courses. It is also planned to be used in other phases of teacher training.
