European Pathway and EMERGE: Shaping International Teaching Together
The European Pathway is closely linked to the European university alliance EMERGE (Empowering the Margins of Europe through Regional and Global Engagement) and offers teaching staff a wide range of opportunities for international collaboration in teaching.
Within EMERGE, courses can be jointly designed and delivered with partner universities. These include joint seminars, virtual exchange formats, and Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), in which students and lecturers from different European countries work together. In this way, international learning environments are created that purposefully integrate diverse perspectives into teaching.
Teaching staff also have the opportunity to experiment with innovative teaching formats, integrate international content into existing modules, and further develop their teaching concepts through exchange with European colleagues. This collaboration not only enhances the quality of teaching, but also supports academic and didactic development.
In addition, EMERGE provides access to a Europe-wide network of universities that supports long-term partnerships, joint projects, and research-oriented teaching formats. This enables teaching staff to internationalise their teaching, gain new impulses, and offer students an expanded European learning experience.
The European Pathway thus creates a structured framework for sustainably embedding international teaching and actively shaping Europe as a shared educational space.
EUF has compiled a detailed tabular overview of courses offered by EMERGE partner universities that are linked to the European Pathway. Those interested in cooperation within this framework are warmly invited to contact the EMERGE team.
