Mominul Hasan is a lecturer and programme coordinator in the Sustainable Energy and Development (SEDev) department at Europa-Universität Flensburg, where he has been part of the team since 2017. He holds a Master of Engineering in Energy and Environmental Management and has recently finalised his PhD on Unlocking the Potential for Solar PV System Deployment for Sustainable Energy Transition in Bangladesh through Policy and Technology Innovation.

His professional background includes work on solar mini-grid development at United International University and the implementation of an award-winning peer-to-peer solar energy trading project with ME-SOLshare Ltd. in Bangladesh. His research focuses on solar PV systems, energy system modelling, and innovation for sustainable energy transitions, particularly in development contexts. He is also active in pedagogical research, exploring methods such as problem-based and community-engaged learning.
