Deposits to be paid before arriving at Europa-Universität Flensburg (for all students, DAAD and self-finance):

As we have to book rooms for you in the student halls of residence and pay for your enrollment and semester fee in advance, we will charge a security deposit of 1.180 Euros to be paid to the university account before you travel to Germany.  A possible balance will be reimbursed to you after your arrival.

All students are also expected to pay an additional deposit of 1.500 Euros. This deposit will be used to pay for the cost of the International Community Energy Project Excursion and for part of the cost of excursions. We will account for the expenditure before you complete your studies and return the balance if applicable.

Semester Fee / Tuition

Semester and other Fees

Enrollment and Semester Fee:
A non-recurring administration fee of 60 EUR has to be paid prior to enrollment. For each term you have to pay a semester fee of currently 309,30 EUR, which is a contribution for the students union and the students services (Studentenwerk). The "Studentenwerk" operates the halls of residence and the refectories, where you can buy meals at a reduced price. The fee also includes a semester ticket covering public transport within the city of Flensburg and regional transportation throughout Germany for the duration of the semester (so-called "Deutschlandticket"). The costs of the enrollment fee, the first semester fee for the autumn semester as well as costs for accommodation (dorm room and housing deposit) need to be paid in advance and will therefore be covered by a security deposit of 1.180 Euros, which needs to be paid by all students prior to arrival.

Tuition Fee:
The University of Flensburg does not charge tuition fees.
