Dear SEDev 2025-2027 Batch, 

We are delighted to welcome you to Flensburg and to the Sustainable Energy and Development (SEDev) Master’s Programme! 

To start your journey with us, we have designed a 3-day Introduction Workshop to help you settle in, connect with your peers & lecturers, and gain an overview of the programme. 

Objectives of the Workshop 

• Ice-Breaking & Networking: Get to know each other through cultural presentations, shared lunches, and a fun “Shopping, Chopping, Cooking” common dinner. 

• Course Orientation: Learn about the structure, goals, and opportunities of the SEDev programme. 

• Expectations & Contributions: Share your expectations of the programme and explore how your own strengths, such as soft skills, professional experience, and research ideas, can enrich the group. 

• Teamwork & Engagement: Participate in interactive activities that encourage collaboration and build trust. 

• Facilitation & Moderation Skills: Gain a practical overview of techniques that will support your academic and professional journey. 

• Student Representation: Select a Class Speaker and a DAAD Speaker (from among DAAD scholarship holders). 

This workshop is the first step toward building a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Your active participation will make it a success!
