Councelling and information
ZeBUSS supports and advises its members in the application and implementation of externally funded research projects that fall within the centre's subject area. From the search for the right call for proposals for the relevant research idea to information on existing calls for proposals in the ZeBUSS newsletter and the formal preparation of third-party funding applications, ZeBUSS offers comprehensive support. Once a project has been successfully acquired, you have the opportunity to establish it at ZeBUSS. Projects already in progress can also be located at ZeBUSS.
ZeBUSS thus supports the scientists whose projects are/will be located at ZeBUSS in the various phases of their research projects, e.g.
- in the formal preparation of applications for third-party funding
- in the preparation of project financing plans
- in the formal processing of applications and the entry of applications in online systems
- in the formal preparation and submission of interim and final reports
- in the final accounting of projects
- scientific editing of applications and publications
I. Universal science funding
This instrument comprises three different funding lines along the three pillars of ‘research’, ‘early career researchers’ and ‘networking’, for which applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
II. ZeBUSS Publication funding
In order to increase publication activities, all ZeBUSS members receive the same amount of financial support for publication projects upon application. Every ZeBUSS member can apply for funding for scientific publications and apply for a maximum funding amount of €3,000 over a period of three years. This sum can be utilised once or spread over several publications, but may not be exceeded.
Eligibility requirements
In addition to membership of the ZeBUSS, it is a prerequisite that the respective topics are related to the ZeBUSS. In the case of universal scientific funding, the scope of the application and the substantive justification of the funding amount should be sufficient. In addition, each approval is linked to the requirement that the results of the funding are fed back into ZeBUSS in an appropriate manner, for example through a lecture, the submission of a publication resulting from the funded measure or other means. ZeBUSS publication funding must be for a scientific publication. The publication can be published open access or in print. Funding can be requested for the publication of monographs, anthologies or journal articles.
