Understanding physics is an integral part of a general education in 21st-century Europe.
The historical development of physics and the latest didactic findings provide the structure for our research.
The results obtained this way are directly incorporated into future-oriented teaching.

Teaching and research in our department are guided by this principle. Modern physics education aims not only to impart an understanding of physical concepts, but also to foster an appreciation of physics as a cultural activity.
