2026 Prospective Student Information Day at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences and Europa-Universität Flensburg
“How do I become a teacher — or a ship’s captain? What do I study if I want a position working with numbers? What does a person who studied food science or biotechnology do professionally?” Prospective students will find answers to these and many other questions during Prospective Student Information Day, hosted on the Flensburg campus. The event will take place from 9:30 am to 4:20 pm in the Helsinki building on the campus of Europa-Universität Flensburg.
A wide range of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs from the fields of business, engineering, informatics, education, culture, European media, health, and sustainability will be presented. The program also includes information on student orientation, the university application process, tours of the laboratories and campus, and opportunities to talk with lecturers, students, and university service units.
All the information you need to start your studies
The event starts 9:30 am with a general information session on student orientation and the application process. Presentations of individual degree programs and guided tours of the campus and laboratories will follow. Prospective students will receive all the information they need for a successful start to their studies.
The Student Committee (AStA) of the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences will offer information about student life, while the International Office will present on study abroad opportunities and exchange programs. The Central Student Guidance and Counseling Service at Europa-Universität Flensburg will explain the available scholarship options. Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein will also be present to provide information on applying for student financial aid (BAföG). Some of the events will also be available via live stream. On site, school pupils and parents will have the opportunity to talk directly with students from the various degree programs.
The Prospective Student Information Day is especially geared towards upper secondary school pupils and graduates, as well as anyone interested in doing university studies in Flensburg—regardless of whether they plan to begin their studies immediately after finishing school or at a later stage. Admission is free, and no prior registration is required.
Further information about the Prospective Student Information Day, including the program and links to the live streams, is available on the jointly hosted webpage for the event.
