International Economic Days in Paris

The Institut La Boétie announces the “Journées économiques internationales 2026” in Paris.

On 30 May 2026, the French Institut La Boétie will host the “Journées économiques internationales 2026” at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris. The event will address key questions of the global economic order, socio-ecological transformation, and public financing.

Matthias Schmelzer will participate in the panel discussion “Comment planifier pour répondre aux besoins écologiques et sociaux ?”. Together with Mathilde Viennot, Isabella Weber, and Cédric Durand, he will discuss ecological planning and social needs.

Other announced speakers include James Kenneth Galbraith, Emiliano Brancaccio, Daniela Gabor, Gabriel Zucman, Branco Milanovic, Anne-Laure Delatte, as well as Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Clémence Guetté. The conference will focus on climate change, geopolitical shifts, and social inequality. The event is organized by the Economics Department of the Institut La Boétie and is announced as the third edition of the International Economic Days. Registration is required for on-site participation.
