Around the World in 80 Books: The Multifaceted Life of a Literary Translator

Literary translator Patricia Klobusiczky, a visiting scholar in the Romance Seminar at Europa-Universität Flensburg this fall semester, is giving talks and other events that are open to to everyone.
On December 1, she will give the talk "Around the World in 80 Books: The Multifaceted Life of a Literary Translator". The event takes place in cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Centre for European Studies.
Born in Berlin in 1968, Patricia Klobusiczky grew up bilingual in France and Germany. After studying literary translation in Düsseldorf, she worked as an editor for Rowohlt for ten years. Since 2006, she has worked in Berlin as a freelance translator (target language German, with English and French as source languages), and occasionally as a moderator, author, or editor.B
