EMERGE BIP "LitoÑoral": exploring coastal regions and their challenges in Rennes

Do you speak Spanish and have an interest in Europe's coastal regions? Apply by 30 September for a funded week in Brittany.

As part of the European university alliance EMERGE, the International Center is inviting applications for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "LitoÑoral" at the Université Rennes 2. Participants discover the environmental, cultural and linguistic characteristics of their respective regions, develop their intercultural and plurilingual competences, and collaborate in international teams. The aim is to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges facing European coastal areas, while encouraging the exchange of knowledge, experiences and perspectives across borders.

The programme is held in Spanish; a minimum level of B2 is required.

Programme structure

The on-site phase takes place from 2 to 6 November 2026 in Rennes. It is complemented by three online sessions: two in October for preparation and one in mid-November for follow-up. Upon successful participation, 3 ECTS are awarded.

The programme is run in collaboration with the Université Rennes 2 and the Universidade da Coruña. Dr Benjamin Inal and Dr Matteo Anastasio will accompany the group from the EUF.

Application

Applications can be submitted until 30 September 2026 via the Erasmus+ BIP/short-term application form. If you would like to apply for travel days or additional grants ("top-ups"), you must submit the declaration of honour together with your application – it cannot be submitted at a later date. Notification of whether funding has been granted will be provided by 12 October 2026 at the latest.

Whether the ECTS credits can be credited to your studies must be clarified individually in your degree programme; participation without recognition is also possible.
