JT Welsch is Senior as Lecturer in English and Creative Industries at the University of York, UK. His research focuses on the modern literary and cultural industries and the ways they shape literary and cultural production. He is the author of The Selling and Self-Regulation of Contemporary Poetry (Anthem, 2020), The Poetry of Suicide: Lessons in Grief from the Lives and Deaths of Poets (Manchester University Press, 2026), several books of poetry, and essays on various modernist authors.
