The European University Alliance EMERGE offers a wide range of opportunities for broadening academic networks and boosting career development for researchers at all stages of their careers.
International Research Collaborations
Are you looking for international research collaborations and/or ways to interact with new local communities to boost your engaged research?
The European University Alliance EMERGE comprises an international network of researchers, teaching staff and community partners in eight European countries. This EMERGE Research Campus allows to connect and explore new research and engagement opportunities.
If you are interested in connecting, we are happy to help share your research profile in the network. Please contact your EMERGE Research Coordinator, Dr. Isabella Tegethoff (isabella.tegethoff-PleaseRemoveIncludingDashes-@uni-flensburg.de) for support.
Research Seminars on Engaged Research
The quarterly organised 60-minutes online Research Seminar Series focuses on engaged research and thereto related community-based participatory research tools and methods.
The seminars aim at connecting and training researchers interested in engaged research by providing case studies from within the European University Alliance EMERGE. The case studies highlight different disciplinary approaches to engaged research and exemplify how building bridges with local communities and addressing societal challenges can be achieved.
In addition to the 60 minutes seminars, the presented case studies will be incorporated into an Alliance archive of best practice, with simple-to-follow uniform case study formats, accompanied by short videos.
The first research seminar was held on 10 March with contributions from the fields of water sports and marine biology: Engaged Research – How to do research with local communities? – EMERGE
Are you an experienced scholar in engaged research? Would you like to share your expertise in the seminars and connect with other EMERGE researchers in your field? Please contact your EMERGE Research Coordinator, Dr. Isabella Tegethoff (isabella.tegethoff-PleaseRemoveIncludingDashes-@uni-flensburg.de) for further information and support.
