Villa Vigoni Autumn School in European Studies on “Multipolarism in the Post-Global World”
We are delighted to announce that the Villa Vigoni Autumn School in European Studies will take place again from 28–31 October 2025 at Lake Como, Italy. Thanks to the engagement of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Glassmann (EUF) and colleagues from the Universities of Hamburg, Bocconi (BLEST), Salento, Bologna, and Fudan University (Shanghai), a new edition of the Vigoni Autumn School has been made possible. This year’s theme, “Multipolarism in the Post-Global World. Nations, Politics and International Relations”, invites critical reflection on international relations. Fudan University will take part for the first time, placing particular focus on EU–China relations. Four Master’s and doctoral students from EUF will get the opportunity to join participants from the partnering institutions and engage in interdisciplinary exchange across European Studies, history, political science, law and economics. The Villa Vigoni Autumn School in European Studies is entering the next round - this year's theme is
" Multipolarism in the Post-Global World. Nations, Politics and International Relations".
Four EUF Master’s and doctoral students — from the fields of European Studies, as well as from History, Economics, Law and Political Science will again be selected to participate in the multi-day programme at Villa Vigoni at Lake Como, from 28–31 October 2025. This year, an interest in international relations, including EU-China relations, is particularly encouraged, as Fudan University will be participating for the first time. The Autumn School is organised by Villa Vigoni and the partner universities of Hamburg, Bocconi (BLEST), Salento, Bologna,Fudan University Shanghai, and the Europa-Universität Flensburg.
Costs: Accommodation, meals and transfers to and from Milano Centrale train station will be covered.
