Im Rahmen des DAAD-Projekts INEES (International Network for Energy and Environmental Sustainability), an dem mehrere Institute unserer Universität beteiligt sind, fand vom 02.10. - 08.10.2010 ein Workshop des Subprojekts 6 Basic Science Education statt.Gastgeber war die University of West Indies Mona Campus (Kingston), als für das Projekt Verantwortlicher nahm Dr. Fritz Schlie§mann sowie Simon Clausen von der UF teil. Weitere Teilnehmer kamen von folgenden Universitäten: Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Bogota (Kolumbien), University Winneba (Ghana) und Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Dhaka.Das Thema Energie wird in diesem Teilprojekt im Bereich der frühen naturwissenschaftlichen Bildung umgesetzt. Ziel ist, für die beteiligten Länder ein gemeinsames Curriculum zum Thema Energie für die Primarstufe unter dem Aspekt des handlungsorientierten Ansatzes von Inquiry-based Science Education zu entwickeln. Daraus folgend entsteht ein Modul für das Studium der Lehrer an Grundschulen.
