After three months of intense work we can already see progress on the project development: Hanna Kieschnick and Kseniia Cherniak wrote reports on the overall context and general situation with emigration in Lithuania and Romania. The reports already give some insights into possible answers to the project’s research questions: despite similar emigration trends, attention to and perception of emigration in these countries is rather different, while variations in overall socio-economic and political context make the further investigation and comparison even more intriguing. More detailed information on the reports and presentation of first results might be openly available in the future.

Now we are moving forward to the preparation of the field work, which will presumably start in April 2022!
