GRÜNE LIGA is organizing the symposium “Win-Win in the Existing Housing Stock—Ways to Ensure a Needs-Based Distribution of Housing” in Berlin on October 8, 2026. Participants can expect a practical program featuring international guests and topics such as home swapping, occupancy guidelines, circular housing use, and home sharing.

The Norbert Elias Center will be represented by Jonas Lage, who, together with project colleagues Katharina Kipp and Lennart Wenning, will speak on behalf of the collaborative research project “Circular Use of Housing.”

Participation is possible both online and in person in Berlin (at the House of Democracy and Human Rights, Greifswalder Straße 4, 10405 Prenzlauer Berg).

Please register by emailing Arthur Haus, our housing advisor, at wohnflaeche@grueneliga.de. Those wishing to attend in person should include a brief statement of motivation by June 30, 2026, as space is limited.

Thanks to funding from the Federal Environment Agency, participation is free of charge.

Further information about the program can be found on the GRÜNE LIGA website: https://grueneliga.de/index.php/de/themen-projekte/wohnen/1627-wohnraum-tagung-2026
