Description

Language of instruction: German

The course Danish A1.1 is suitable for students without previous knowledge. The main objective is to provide students with a basic knowledge of the Danish language.

Based on everyday conversation topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; addresses and numbers), basic knowledge of Danish grammar and vocabulary will be taught.

In the development of word fields, the following topics are mainly dealt with: Presentation of the person and making people known (name, nationality, profession or course of study, place of origin, family), hobbies and interests.

The grammar focuses on personal pronouns, possessive endings, interrogative particles, interrogative words and nominal clauses.

A language course thrives on people meeting each other. It is therefore particularly important that you participate actively on a regular basis and prepare well. We would like to point out that in an online course, the emphasis during the attendance time is on the classroom conversation, while listening and reading tasks are more self-study. One advantage of online teaching is that you can receive extensive feedback on written work.

Classes take place in the form of meetings via Webex. The course is administered via Moodle. There you will also find presentations and additional materials. The teacher enrols you in the Moodle course. You will receive the invitation to Webex by email by the first day of class.

The course consists of 30 attendance hours. Attendance is compulsory. If you want to have a performance record, you must not miss more than 6 lessons (20%). The final grade is made up of 30% class participation and 70% final exam.
