CampusEngel (“Campus Angels”) – EMERGE Ambassadors at Europa-Universität Flensburg
The CampusEngel EMERGE Ambassadors are dedicated student volunteers who play a vital role in welcoming and supporting new students at Europa-Universität Flensburg as part of the EMERGE project.
Their mission is to help newcomers confidently navigate student life—from enrollment to daily campus matters—ensuring a smooth, informed, and inclusive start to their academic journey at EUF.
What CampusEngel Do
CampusEngel offer peer-to-peer guidance on a wide range of topics, including:
- Enrollment and campus orientation
- Classrooms and placement tests
- Language courses
- Housing and health insurance
- Childcare and family support
- Student life and leisure activities
- Preparing for semesters abroad
They also offer a listening ear, encouragement, and connection to the right campus resources when needed.
Who They Are
The CampusEngel team includes both German and international students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. All members speak fluent English and many also speak additional languages, helping new students feel welcome and supported—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Availability:
CampusEngel support for first-semester students is available during the fall semester only, from mid-July to the end of October.
Outside this period, the CampusEngel continue to work behind the scenes, actively disseminating the EMERGE identity and promoting international mobility across campus.
A Community Within EMERGE
CampusEngel are more than just student guides—they form a values-driven, dynamic micro-community. Together with the Student Advisory Board and the EMERGE Student Forum, they make up the three pillars of student participation in the EMERGE project.
As international mobility advocates, they also share inspiring experiences and motivate their peers to explore exchange and global opportunities.
