Welcome to the Philosophy Student Council website

Philosophy Student Council

A Student Council is a student representative body elected by the students of a degree subject.

We advocate for your interests, help mediate between students and teaching staff, keep you informed about current events and opportunities, and provide support and advice whenever needed. We also organize a variety of projects and events.

We participate in the meetings of the Department of Philosophy and have the right to be consulted on matters discussed there. This allows us to stay up to date and maintain close communication with the teaching staff. In addition, we take part in the meetings of the Student Council Conference (Fachschaftskonferenz, FSK), enabling us to exchange ideas and cooperate with the student councils of other subjects across Europa-Universität Flensburg.

Interested?

If you would like to get involved, you can stand as a candidate for the Philosophy Student Council. The council consists of up to five elected representatives (with up to five deputies), who share responsibilities and work together on projects and initiatives.

The university elections for the Student Councils and the Student Parliament take place every June. Further information can be found on the website of the General Students’ Committee (AStA): www.asta-uni-flensburg.de.
