Gather all the documents necessary for the matriculation process

Documents:

1. De-registration form (in case you have previously enrolled in another German university) - can be sent up to October, 26th

2. Proof of statutory health insurance (in case you are a non-EU student and are not able to manage to get this document in time, please write a note explaining that you are waiting for it)

3. Proof of payment of the semester fee

4. Proof of payment of the enrollment fee

5. Residence permit for the duration of the program (or in case you don´t have it yet, student visa)

6. Copy of your identification card

7. Copy of the first page of the acceptance letter that you received.

Afterwards, please send all these documents to:

Or deliver them personally and deposit them in the Postbox n. 18 located in the Erweiterungsbau (EB building).

Deadline

the documents must be in the postbox until August, 12th.

* 2 clarifications:

- even though it says on the admission letter that an email was sent on 17.07.2016, the email was actually sent later. (So please ignore this date)

- regardless of what may say on the letter, the level of English required is correspondent to B2.

Here are the language requirements (in German):
Die Zulassung für den Studiengang European Cultures and Society mit dem Abschluss Bachelor of Arts setzt den Nachweis über angemessene Sprachkenntnisse des Englischen voraus. Das zum Nachweis der Sprachkenntnisse vorgelegte Zertifikat darf nicht älter als maximal zwei Jahre sein, gerechnet ab Beginn des Semesters, zu dem die Einschreibung beantragt wird. Folgende Nachweise werden gleichberechtigt anerkannt:
a) ein Notendurchschnitt von mindestens 10 Punkten im Fach Englisch in der gymnasialen Oberstufe, wobei Englisch ununterbrochen bis zum Abitur weitergeführt worden sein muss (Durchschnittswert der letzten vier Halbjahre),
b) ein zum Hochschulzugang berechtigender Schulabschluss einer englischsprachigen Schule,
c) das Erreichen von festgelegten Mindestpunktzahlen bzw. Mindestnoten in anerkannten Sprachtests:
1. FCE (First Certificate in English): Grade B
2. CAE (Certificate in Advanced English): Grade C (bestanden)
3. CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English): Grade C (bestanden)
4. IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Band Score 6,5
5. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language):
a. Internet-Based Testing: mindestens 90 Punkte (von max. 120)
b. Paper-Based Testing: mindestens 577 Punkte (von max. 677)
c. Computer-Based Testing: mindestens 233 Punkte (von max. 300).
