Video surveillance

Purpose

To adequately protect our servers and the data stored on them, it is necessary to ensure that physical access to their location is properly secured and monitored. To this end, a video surveillance system consisting of two cameras has been installed to monitor the entrance area within the server room.

The video surveillance system is intended to protect areas not accessible to the public (server room). It helps prevent unauthorized access and enforce property rights. This ensures that only authorized persons are granted access and that disruptions or security risks are avoided.

Legal basis

The processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(e) in conjunction with Article 6(2) GDPR, as well as § 14(1)(2) of the Schleswig-Holstein State Data Protection Act (Landesdatenschutzgesetz Schleswig-Holstein, LDSG SH), as the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, in particular to ensure security and order.

Recipients

The video recordings collected may be transmitted to law enforcement authorities (e.g., police, public prosecutor’s office) if necessary, provided this is required to fulfill legal obligations or to investigate criminal offenses. Beyond this, the data will not be disclosed to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes.

Storage time

The data is stored for a maximum of 72 hours. However, longer storage may occur if necessary for investigating incidents and preserving evidence.

Necessity to provide data

The provision of the data is necessary to fulfill the stated purposes, and the data is used only to the extent necessary.
