Processed data and purpose

The purpose of data processing is to conduct diversity monitoring aimed at identifying the specific circumstances and diversity needs of the employees and students at Europa-Universität Flensburg. This database is intended to contribute to the strategic management of the university with regard to diversity and to improve the evaluation of existing measures.

The types of data are derived from the corresponding questions in the questionnaire. Data processing takes place exclusively on IT systems at EUF.

Legal basis

Data processing is essentially anonymous; that is, it does not involve the processing of personal data. However, it cannot be completely ruled out that your answers could indirectly lead to conclusions about a specific person, thereby creating a personal reference. To the extent that personal data is processed, this is done on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Right to withdrawal consent

In accordance with Article 7(3) GDPR, the data subject has the right to exercise their right to withdrawal consent without providing reasons and to amend the declaration of consent with future effect, or to revoke it entirely by post using the provided contact information or by email to datenschutzbeauftragter-PleaseRemoveIncludingDashes-@uni-flensburg.de. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data carried out on the basis of your consent prior to the withdrawal. Please note that withdrawing your consent may mean that the underlying purpose cannot be achieved.

Recipients

The questionnaires are processed and evaluated exclusively by project staff in the Equal Opportunities Office. During evaluation, the questionnaire data is separated to ensure that the people evaluating the data cannot link it to specific individuals.

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties. Only anonymous analyses of the diversity monitoring results are shared with the university community as needed.

Storage time

The data collected in the questionnaire is stored until the evaluation is complete and is then deleted immediately.

Necessity to provide data

Providing your information in the questionnaire is voluntary. You have the option to provide no information or to leave questions unanswered. You may withdraw your consent at any time. In this case, the relevant questionnaire will no longer be considered and will be destroyed.
