Data protection information for the FLummi Carers Directory

The FLummi Carers Directory provides a flexible, short-term solution to care shortages for parents or family caregivers. You can search for short-term or long-term care for children and/or family members in need of care.

Processed data and purpose

Anyone wishing to register as a caregiver can create a personal profile via this portal, providing information about themselves (introductory text, details on motivation and experience) and the care services they offer. After review, the profile is activated by the Family Office.

The following data is processed:

  • Name
  • Photo (optional)
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Website (optional)
  • Brief introduction (motivation, experience, …)
  • Contact information
  • Address
  • Areas of expertise (specification of qualification(s))
  • Types of care (specification of the form(s) of care offered)

To edit an existing care service listing, you can request an edit link by providing the email address used when creating the listing.

Legal basis

The processing of your personal data is based on your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Right to withdraw consent

In accordance with Article 7(3) GDPR, the data subject has the right to exercise their right of withdrawal without providing reasons and to amend the declaration of consent with effect for the future, or to revoke it entirely by post using the contact information provided or by email to datenschutzbeauftragter-PleaseRemoveIncludingDashes-@uni-flensburg.de. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data that took place on the basis of consent prior to the withdrawal. Please note that the underlying purpose may not be achieved if consent is withdrawn.

Recipients

The personal data provided in the profile will be published on the platform for the purpose to share the information with authorized users of the platform. Authorized access is granted to all individuals who have university access at Europa-Universität Flensburg.

Please note, however, that when content is published on the internet, it cannot be ruled out that third parties may store, modify, or redistribute it. We have no influence over these external processes. Complete removal is not always technically possible and cannot be guaranteed under certain circumstances.

Storage time

The personal data processed as part of the support service will be stored for as long as the support service is active. Deletion occurs as soon as the offer is deleted by the person who posted it or it is deemed inactive. To ensure that the information remains up-to-date, all providers are contacted regularly and asked to confirm, upon inquiry, whether their offer is still valid. Offerings which a data subject indicates are no longer current, or for which no re-registration is received, will be deleted.

Necessity to provide data

You are not required to provide your data. However, without your data, a care service listing cannot be created.
