Beyond broadening the research network, presenting ongoing work, and giving a lecture to a graduate course, Max conducted 23 interviews. These included representatives from the government, ministries, parties, expert commissions, and business associations. Emigration has been a pertinent issue, increasingly politicized by the right-wing populist Law and Justice Party. Highly interesting developments also occurred with regard to policy changes.
