Zusatzinformationen

Mominul has been a member of the EEM team since 2017. He offers Solar PV Systems and Project Management courses. In addtion to teaching, he enjoys networking and organizing events, such as excursions to different organizations, webinars and alumni activities, for the students and alumni of the department.

Mominul is experienced in Solar Photovoltaic Systems and their applications in grid-connected and off-grid contexts. He worked for the Centre for energy research at United International University (UIU) in Bangladesh. At UIU, he worked in mini-grid design and development for rural electrification in Bangladesh. Together with ME-Solshare Ltd. in 2015, he implemented an award-winning project called "peer-to-peer energy trading grid" for solar home systems in Bangladesh.

He is an electrical engineer from Bangladesh and a graduate of this department. During his master's thesis, he travelled to Jakarta to work for GIZ. In this thesis, he analyzed the status of energy access in PV powered mini-grids in Indonesia. 

Mominul has an overarching research interest in the sustainable energy field. Maximizing renewable energy share through utilizing local opportunities and innovation is the core of his research interest. His primary interest includes Solar PV systems, solar resource analysis, energy system modelling, energy storage, renewable energy projects, virtual net-metering, electric vehicles and district cooling.
