Lecture 1 Prof. Michal Vašečka from Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic), Centre for the Research of Culture and Ethnicity (Slovakia) and a Member of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance gave a guest lecture at Europa-Universität Flensburg on January 18, 2016. Guest lecture series The lectures are organized in cooperation with the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) and host prominent scholars and experts from different European institutions. The lecture series offers a unique chance to the students of the Europa-Universität Flensburg to discuss the issue of diversity, and its challenges and opportunities in the EU, together with the invited guests. The overall aim of the lecture series is to integrate the EUF and its students in a European discourse on the topic, contributing to the overall Europeanization and internationalization

The participants from Denmark, Poland and Germany were guided through the program by the experts from Universität Flensburg, Syddanks Universitet, Technische Universität Dresden and from the European Center for Minority Issues (ECMI). [...] , all of the participants were taken on a sunny ferry ride with the ferry "Jürgensby" on Flensburg Fjord and past the Ox islands. The conference was sponsored by the Foundation for Polish-German cooperation .
