Opening of the European Wasatia Graduate School for Peace and Conflict Resolution.
The Arabic word "Wasatia" stands for "reconciliation and understanding." The Graduate School at EUF, which officially opened today, aims to initiate a process of reconciliation across borders and is based on the idea of intercultural and interreligious exchange. Its goal is to train competent and influential societal leaders from Israel, Palestine and other countries of the world.
In addition to the current twelve doctoral students, Robert Habeck, Bishop Gothart Magaard and Prof. Dr. M. Dajani Daoudi will also be present at the opening ceremony.
This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
The event will be held in English.
