Target group:
The B1.2 English language level course is for students who want to expand on their previous English language knowledge at an intermediate level. The course is suitable for students who have completed the B1.1 course (intermediate) or have approximately 300 classroom hours of English language lessons.
Content:
The focus of this is on intermedaite English language skills. Attention is paid to the four primary language skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The course is rooted in an English for academic purposes pedagogy but is applicable to everyday life.
Regular and active participation is required for successful completion of the course. This includes the completion of homework in order to continue practicing and consolidating what has been learned in the classroom. Attendance is compulsory.
The course has an online and classroom component.
Assessment:
Regular and active participation in the class. Completion of homework assignments. Klausur on the last day of class.

The course is suitable for participants* who have reached the B1 level or have had approximately 360 hours of English lessons.
Participants who have completed a General English Language Course B2 will perceive part of the course as repetition, but will learn new vocabulary and specific communication activities for a business context.Content:The focus of this course is on upper intermediate English skills. Attention is paid to the four basic skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening in a business context. The course focuses on English as a technical language, with the inclusion of some business theory, the grammatical structures are also applicable to other contexts.Regular and active participation is required for the successful completion of the course. Target group:
The Academic Literacy and English course is for students who have a mid B2 or higher level of English; approximately 350-400 hours of classroom instruction. The course is designed to improve English skills in the context of the university and higher education. Emphasis is placed on academic reading skills and writing skills. Participants will develop their academic vocabulary and academic voice in oral and written language.
Course content:
The course is taught using a content based instruction method built around a single theme for the semester. This semester the theme is ‘Populism’. Together we will read and discuss selective readings, write short essays and response papers, and present a small research project. Your academic English skills will improve as well as your general English abilities.

Target Group:
English Literature Short Stories C1/C2 is an English course for students at the C1-C2 level who want to strengthen and expand their English reading comprehension, writing, and speaking/discussion skills. The course uses classic and contemporary short stories as an object of analysis for written and oral communication activities.
Course content:
The focus of this course is on advanced English language skills. Particular attention is paid to reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical writing and discussion. You will gain cultural knowledge, how the English language is used to produce ‘literary’ texts, and how to use the English language appropriately in an academic context.
Regular and active participation is required for successful completion of the course. This includes the completion of homework assignments in order to continue practicing and consolidating what has been leaned in the classroom. Attendance is compulsory.
Assessment:
There will be a short written analysis due at the end of the semester. Students will be responsible for presenting information orally throughout the semester.
