U.S. Consul General visits the EUF
The Department of English and American Studies was honored to host U.S. Consul General Rick Yoneoka at the EUF's Senatssaal on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
Consul General Yoneoka, who has been in office at Hamburg since July 2016, was greeted by our President, Prof. Dr. Werner Reinhart, and spoke with faculty members and students about the relationship between the United States and Germany, American Studies at Flensburg, teaching opportunities, multinational families, and the benefits of transnational exchange. The friendly and productive conversation was continued over lunch at our Mensa. We will continue to work closely with the Consulate and hope to invite Consul General Yoneoka to our campus again later this year.
