Hybrid semester

Dear EUCS Students,

The Fall semester 2021/22 in the BA European Cultures and Society will be offered in a hybrid form in all semesters.

What does hybrid mean?

It means that there will be courses in presence, courses online and courses simultaneously in presence and online.

Students who are in Flensburg will have the possibility to attend a part of the courses in presence, if the corona situation doesn't prevent it.

Students who are abroad or at the moment cannot join us in Flensburg will be able to attend their courses in an online format.

Last information about traveling to Germany (24.06.2021):

For persons residing in so-called virus variant areas (https://www.rki.de/covid-19-risikogebiete) with a particularly high prevalence of mutations of the virus, traveling to Germany and entry in accordance with the Corona rules are currently prohibited in principle. This also applies to fully vaccinated persons. Exceptions are only possible in very few cases, for example for persons with residence and right of abode in Germany. (https://www.bmi.bund.de/SharedDocs/faqs/DE/themen/bevoelkerungsschutz/coronavirus/reisebeschraenkungen-grenzkontrollen/II-reisebeschraenkungen-uer-einreise-aus-virusvarianten-gebieten/welche-ausnahmen-vom-befoerderungsverbot-und-den-einreisebeschraenkungen-aus-virusvarianten-gebieten-gibt-es.html).

For students and scientists from virus variant areas, this means that a presence study or a research stay in Germany for the WS 2021/2022 can currently not be ensured. Please note that entry is also not possible if a study place commitment has already been granted by the German university: Since entry is not possible, visas cannot be issued as long as a country is considered a virus variant area.
