Mouchot's Solar Heater

The Solar Heater on the model of Mouchot is a heliothermal engine by which food or water can be heated by solar radiation. Augustin Mouchot developed a string of heliothermal instruments amongst them a heliothermal steam engine. He was awarded a gold medal for the scope of his work on occasion of the 1878 Paris  World Fair.
